There are
a few positions that we really need to fill in order to have a successful year:
-Treasurer – Shelly Bobruska
is willing to do this one more year but would like someone willing to work with her this year and take this position on for
next year. If you are interested, please let me know.
-Starter – Susie Tapiero is
one of our starters but can’t do this alone. If you are interested in helping out with this position, there is
training that is required. Training will be held on Saturday, June 1 (8-noon) or Saturday June 8 (8-noon) at the Olney
Pool. We really need someone willing to help out on this position. If interested, please let me know and I can
get you more info on training. Susie is going to need to be recertified on this so she is a great source in finding
out what more is required.
There may be other Official positions
(Referee and Stroke & Turn) that we will need to fill or have as back ups. I will let everyone know once I confirm
with our original set of folks about their plans to return this year.
We will be doing the Lymphoma/Leukemia
Swim-a-thon again this year. Faith Adler has agreed to head this up. Once the date is set, we will let you know.
We are going to try to do it a bit earlier in the season than last year.
We are also going to implement an
SSL opportunities for our children entering 6th grade through high school. As we get more information on
this I will let you know. Hours that can count will include those typical activities that volunteers do and are not
paid positions.
Risa Levenson has graciously offered
to take over the sponsors/ banner and t-shirts. She also volunteered to take care of swim suit and clothing orders.
We are planning on having Underwater Wear at Registration so orders can be placed.
